Well theres no tempting offers in 'this week only' so..ordering this on monday :)
Cant stretch the budget any further really.. maybe a tenner or two if anyone has any good suggestions?

Going in an NZXT Lexa with 4x 1gb sticks of OCZ PC2-6400C4
Hope to get 3200MHz out of the quad at reasonable temps. Might settle for 2800MHz if the fans get too loud. Want to get the GTX to OC2 speeds too.
Mostly for gaming, watching DVD's an regular use.

Would you change anything??
Cheers :)

You know, I hate you. That is one kick a** machine you've spec'd right there. Personally, I wouldn't change a thing.

The only thing I would change is to put in a Thermalright Ultra-120 Extreme which is in TWO and will only cost you £2 extra than the tuniq. They are both excellent coolers put i feel the ultra-120 just edges out the tuniq.

Other wise thats a cracking setup.

+ the cost of an extra fan to that too. As one isn't included.

Yeah fair point forgot about that but still £10 off it's still a bargian and their are some cheap and very decent fans around.

Yea, the tuniq seems good with quads as does the TU120 but i heard a lot of stories about the TU120 base being uneven and i cant be bothered lapping untill i really need to squeeze some more speed out of the quad.. which i think is a long time off.
+ cost of fan :)
Still not sure about the mobo, might do a bit more research before monday, perhaps il stick a thread in the mobo section.
Cheers guys, keep your opinions coming :)

I'd also probably go for the Gigabyte P35_DS3P. Marginally cheaper, with more/better features IMHO (for example 2 PCI-e (x16/x4) slots vs. 1 on the Abit, 3 PCI-e (x1) slots vs 2 on the Abit, 2 e-Sata ports vs. none on Abit, Supports up to 1066Mhz DD2 RAM vs only up to 800Mhz DDR2 on Abit) In terms of overclocking potential they're both very similar, both being able to run an FSB approaching 500Mhz or thereabouts, IIRC, though the Abit might have a (really) tiny edge here.

For comparison refer here (gigabyte) and here (abit).

samsung hard drives? (quieter running)

I would stick with Seagate or WD for hard drives as they more reliable.

Other wise good setup i would agree about going for the Gigabite mobo better for overclocking (which the system you making is crying out for it)

Dunno - I've seen some very good reviews of Samsung HDs recently. Seagate have the 5 year warranty though...

I've opted for the Abit with a very similar setup to this. From what I've read the board overclocks very well.

Tbh i think seagate, WD an samsung hard drives will all be much of a muchness.. so going for the 5yr warranty. I figure moving parts will likely be the first to die.
Now leaning towards the Gigabyte P35_DS3P. Does seem to have better features than the IP-35 and a lower price tag :)
If anyone else has an opinion on this i'd love to hear it :)
Cheers.
