Would you return a processor for a faulty core temp sensor?

It is quite possible to have such a low temperature. I ran a 7750be under (rubbish) water and saw a 2 degree difference between idle and load. I'm reasonably sure a TRUE with good fans would perform identically to the 120 radiator that was involved at the time.

Further, it is also possible to have the inside of the case below room temperature. If you like this is 'wind chill', never noticed that the sun can be shining and it's freezing because you're standing in a gale? With some effort it is probably possible to have a low power dual core loading below room temperature, using air.

I would not rma a chip for a dodgy temperature sensor. If it doesn't shut utself down under load, and it dies through this, I would then rma it.

Like I said in my previous post, it really isn't worth RMA'ing your chip because of this mate, I personally don't see it as being a problem, so long as your chip is running fine, and you aren't having any other issues like random BSOD's, or system freezes, then there is nothing to worry about.

I don't think it would get replaced if you were to return it because of something like this, I could be wrong, but I highly doubt it.
