I am pretty sure the 3070 and 3070 Ti should be closer... they are so close in performance it makes the Ti pointless.

2060 is also not far enough away from the RTX 3050. The 2060 makes the 3050 look like a kids tonka toy.

5700-XT is too close to the 2070 Super, it is not that fast.

The 5600-XT should be further ahead of the 2060 by a tad.

R9 Fury x is nowhere close to a 980 Ti it was laughed at when it was released...

I have to wonder do these people only ever use what games are new? It's stupid IMO.

LOL why I stopped using the Linus Tech Tips forums.

Can't say if it's right but it looks sensible.

It's interesting to see the lack of competition AMD provided during the RDNA era, presumably a cost of switching architecture. I bet that wasn't an easy sell to management.

The Radeon VII being as close as it is to the 1080 Ti can't be accurate. I recall it was faster in a couple of niche cases but overall I'm sure the Ti was generally faster. I haven't seen it tested recently however.

I can confirm that as i had a 5700XT for a few weeks before i switched to a 2070 Super, according to that chart the 2070S is 3% faster, its more than that, its a solid 10% - 15% which is still not a huge amount but it is a step above.

With that i also think the 2080 is wrong, according to that it is again basically the same as the 2070S, it isn't, the 2070S, 2080 and 2080S should be moved up closer to the 2080TI. the 2070S is just about the same as a 3060TI, i also think the 6900XT should be moved up a tad.

Largely the chart is about right but there is some weirdness about it.

If it's Toms data, then based on 9 game average? Should be quite accurate depending on RTX/res etc etc.

Its not based on this chart, or if it is some of them are not positioned correctly.

The Toms slide has the 2070S 7.5% faster than the 5700XT, from my experience i would say that minimum. the black slide @Tired9 posted: 5700XT 58% 2070S 60% ~3%, its not 3% that's for damned sure.

1 none gaming benchmark ?? , better done over number of different games, that chart looks accurate to me between them

Massive X to doubt on a R9 390 is not even close to a 980/1060 6GB its around a GTX 970 level.

A RX 570 needs to be closer/around a GTX 970.

Vega 56 is between a 1070-1070ti, possibly closer to a 1070ti. They released a 1070ti for a reason.

Are you thinking of the R9 290? Because the R9 390 was the same performance as the 980. And they both were roughly the same as the 1060 6GB.

You are correct about the RX 570 though,

Hardware Unboxed think the 5700XT is 10 to 15% faster in BL3 than the 2070 Super?

I would really like to know how they got those results because in my experience the 2070 Super blew the 5700XT out of the water in this Unreal Engine game.

Could it be CPU speed and Ram?

My numbers with 5600x but with CL17 3733mhz RAM.

Video one: +12% to the 2070S
Video two: +7% to the 2070S
Video three: no idea as no result given but in this built in benchmark the 2070S was consistently 10% higher FPS.

So where did HUB get +11% and +13% to the 5700XT from? that's a difference of 20% to 25% from your 3 videos.

I like that.

Later though as I am off to work now. Post yours and we can do a CPU test on it in case.

I don't think the CPU matters much as is, my GPU sits between 98 and 100%, but we could do a low resolution test if you want to compare CPU's. :)
