Would you say this is right? Heirarchy chart from some user on Reddit.

i look at multiple benchmarks between a few cards and use that. These charts are often guestimates or however you spell that

I don't think the CPU matters much as is, my GPU sits between 98 and 100%, but we could do a low resolution test if you want to compare CPU's. :)

Video uploading.

Make sure you use the same settings.

Video, should be 1440P, at the time of posting its still 1080P

Shadowplay has about a 5% performance impact.

Custom IQ settings, Preset Ultra is not Ultra, some things you have to set manually to Ultra, watch for that when setting it up.

I mentioned CPU test because I run an RTX 3070, I was thinking if there was any sort of discrepancy between bench's it could be the CPU speed and memory used, but I am not aware of how CPU limited BL3 is.

That looks pretty good, what was the result? you will find it in C:\Users\yourpcname\Documents\My Games\Borderlands 3\Saved\BenchmarkData

Also you're haven't got your 5800X running at 5Ghz :D
BenchmarkResults 2022-03-04_22-10-17

Yeah I am scared of causing Nuclear fission in my room if I OC it.

81.8 / 65.5 = 1.248 (+25%) :)

whatever cooler you have might struggle to cope because of the heat density from the tiny die but they actually use very little power.

Fine wine came into play as usual. There ain't a big gap between the 2070s and 5700xt these days.

At release the 2070 and 5700xt were around on par but now there is a gap and the 5700xt sits in between non super and super. Chart below from the same site.

Your experience is outdated due to drivers and games.

100 / 87 = 1.1494, +15%, which i think is what i said, that's quite a gap.

But i think you can also see why i'm disappointed with Nvidia for the 3070, its not worth it this time.

I think HUB used DX12 for the BL3 comparison, could be why the 2070S looked weak for them. They should be comparing best API for each vendor imo which is probably DX11 for NV? :p

Unreal Engine games like BL3 always favoured Nvidia cards over AMD, RDNA2 does much better then RDNA1/GCN in that engine. I wouldn't compare cards based solely on that, just like I wouldn't base it on heavily AMD favoured games like Forza.

You might be on to something, the game doesn't run anything like as nice on DX12 as it does on DX11, at least with the Nvidia GPU, so far as i could tell it didn't matter if you ran DX12 or DX11 on the AMD GPU it felt the same.

More over, if i'm completely honest. The 5700XT did not run at the same performance level at 1440P with the settings i use, you could not just see it, you could feel it, having said that the 5700XT i had was junk, it was an ASRock of some description, it ran fine, though it was hot and noisy and because of that there was no room for overclocking, where as so far as i can tell my 2070S is one of the best clocking 2070S out there, the clocks i'm running are arbitrary 24/7 clocks, it will clock higher, enough to push it a few % past the reference 2080 Super on that grey and red chart, i lucked in with it, karma perhaps as a friend of a friend was desperate for a GPU so i swapped it for one of his old Keyboards, a K70, yes i did tell him clearly it was a bad GPU.

Don't buy anything from ASRock. the 5700XT in its self is a good GPU, just not an ASRock one. I'm sticking with MSI from now on, the 1070 Gaming X was really good, this one is brilliant.

The 5700XT is not at quite the same level as a 2070S though, the charts show that.

Not sure I'd call 5% thrashing tbh. Going on Humbugs 2070s scoring the same as the 2080s in than slide I'd say the 280ti still beats yours. Though the 2080ti was 1k + card at the time.
Yeah I agree, the numbers reported in the bench result are much more real, the bench seemed higher than the result showed, I went off of that.

I think the first image looks fairly accurate though I thought the 980Ti would sit slightly above the RTX 3050, GTX 1660/Ti, RX5500XT and RX590.

I also thought the 1660Ti would be very slightly ahead of the 1660 Super.

The Pascal series should also be elevated a little, too.
