Would You Secure Erase SSD

I just installed Windows 7 on a new Samsung Pro SSD and now want to install Windows 8 instead. Would you secure erase first?

I would only do it if I was selling the drive.

Secure Erase doesn't just do what it says on the tin. It also restores the drive back to default settings and resets the write performance.

Maybe just a quick format if Win7 has been on a few weeks and the drive isn't over 75% full, otherwise I'd secure erase it for best performance.
