Would you swap a Canon 400d, with 50mm Lens, Stock lens, and a 300mm lens, only cheap lenses, with a external flash.

for

a PS3 60gb Original (with various games) , and a Fujifilm S1500?

Good or bad deal?

I personally wouldn't and save up to get the newer, more reliable and slimmer PS3. Mine cost me £239 with Call of Duty - it is certainly worth doing a few trade ins.

Just work out how much things cost 2nd hand, then decide.

Apparently he doesnt want the flash with it.

So its just the camera, stock lens, faulty 50mm lens, and a 300mm lens

for the ps3 and new fuji.

So you're looking at around £400 for the camera stuff depending what the 300mm lens is... Probably be a better deal if you sold your kit and bought a new PS3.

DSLRs use a mechanical shutter and mirror, the more actuations the more likely it is to break, essentially mileage on a car.

The 400D body alone is worth around £220-£300 depending on shutter count.

Then there's the price of the lenses etc which could range from £50-£500 each.

I don't think that's a particularly good deal.
You can pick up new PS3s for not very much nowadays, I'd sell the camera and lenses for cash.
