Would you?

Wouldn't float my boat. Unfortunately I remember only too well just how good 70s cars weren't. If I really insisted on buying something from back then, I'd make sure that it was pretty, interesting or preferably both. I seem to remember there being some quite nice looking Toyotas from that era, so why bother wasting time on something that the design team sorted out on a Friday afternoon tea break.

Instead though,

You don't want that, the Oldsmobile 403 engine isn't a very good one and is prone to taking out it's headgaskets due to wide bores and lack of coolant flow between cylinders.

Does make a useful 320ft.lb though and can be sorted if taken care of, but I'd rather Pontiac's own 350/400 or 455 :)

Had the one from the OP with the liftback, absolute rotbox. Would love to get my hands on one of these again ...

It's a shame that it's in Yorkshire and that I'm so lazy. If it was local I'd have bought the celica in a heart beat.

There is just something about 80s Toyotas that I absolutely love. I was holding out for a 1.6 ST Celica for my first car, but quite simply could not find a single one in the months I spent looking (albeit it, not particularly hard!), gave up and bought the 205.

That celica would side beside an MK1 MR2, MK3 Supra and MK1 Aristo in my dream Toyota garage :).

Yes, I like these. That one's remarkably scene-tax free. Expect to see it for £3000 on Ebay soon.
