wow build

Not brilliant, just to show you don't need to spend all your budget.

WOW runs at full speed on quite a low spec PC, so do you need to spend 3£K?

No he does'nt. Surely this is a wind up? I am running WoW pretty much maxxed out on a rig that cost less than £400 including OS. The rig consist's of a E8500 clocked to 3.8Ghz, Gigabyte EP43-DS3L mobo, XFX 4650 512mb (overclocked), 2x 1Gb PC2 6400, Audigy 2ZS sound card, 385w Enermax Pro+ psu. Screen size is 27.5" with a res of 1920x1200. Most of the time i am in the mid 40's to mid 50's fps with the occasional dip to the mid - low 30's. Perfectly playable. As already stated, WoW does'nt need a powerful pc otherwise it would'nt be so successful.

over budget, but what the hell!!!!!!!

No it isnt a wind up, i use to build all my pc's about 8 years ago. I fell out of love with pc's and went over to console gaming and have total lost all track of prices and specs. I have just started playing wow and other games on my laptop and it sucks (keeps on overheating and crashing). Ive got some savings maturing in a few weeks so thought why the hell not i'll treat myself too a kick ass gaming pc. if i can get what i need for less thats great. I was thinking tripple monitors would add a load onto the price, hence the large budget.

Thanks for all the advice, i hope this clears some matters up.

I would seriously spend about 1k-1.3k max on the pc itself and then get yourself a nice screen or two. Save the extra money for future upgrades or your next PC.
