Hello, I've got an alliance priest level 60 with decent items that I never use an unfortunatly people that I now play with are on horde so I was wondering if anyone out there or knows anyone who has a horde priest of similar level that is the oposite of me and playing alliance more that would be interested in a paid character account transfer?

You cant transfer from account to account unless the accounts are in the exact same name im afraid.

Nope I don't think you can, unless you prove you have changed your name. Best bet is to find someone trustworthy and trade accounts with them, however this is probably against the eula.

Just checked you can change it but gotta contact customer support.. if anyone actualy was interested in swaping wouldn't be a problem really.

surely theyre not going to swap characters from account to another?
wouldnt that be a huge aid to selling characters and breaking the agreement with blizzard?

Nobody would be making a profit apart from blizzard as they actualy do this as a service I can't see any problem.

You cannot for any reason transfer a character from one account to another unless BOTH accounts are held and registered by the exact same person.

Blizzard will under very strict circumstances change your surname but you have to provide suitable evidence that you have indeed gotten married or changed your name, just an email saying "ive changed my name from smith to jones can you amend my account plz" wont cut it.

They do this to stop account trading from being easy to do. As a side note thay also track and ban accounts that have been traded using various methods. They dont catch them all but by all accounts they get well over 60% of traded accounts. They compare such things as country of origin for the ip's and also how the accounts are paid for. Certainly if you buy an account off someone and try to use your own CCARD to pay for it the system will flag the account for further inspection. Often people who have bought accounts also get scammed by the seller after a month or so when they contact blizzard and get the account back ( they are the registered keeper afterall ) so make sure its money you are prepared to loose if you do decide to buy an account :p

"Any changes made to an account must be made by the original owner."

If I rang customer services I'm fairly sure I could get my name changed within 5minutes of the conversation. A customer service representative isn't going to go in acres of detail about my personal life.. A simple my parents have got remarried.. My parents got divorced I'm under my mothers name.. just a general bull statement like that would be enough.

Just to say I'm not interested in account trading just a character swap.

hehehe you obviously havent had many dealings with blizzard support then

Ive read pages of such questions on the forums in the past and yes blizzard do ask for faxes of marriage certificates and things like that. It seems to be something they take super seriously and almost never change account details unless you can prove beyond doubt that its for the right reasons.

Im not sure what you mean by not being interested in account trading? the only way to get someone else char is to have their account which is account trading. Even if no money passes hands its against the EULA and classed as trading.

Anyway you know the deal so good luck :p

Paid character transfer. "Move your character to a different realm or between two of your accounts (subject to certain restrictions)."

Yes between your own accounts not yours and someone elses. You cant get hold of someone else chars without getting their account , which like i say is classed as account trading. You cant just swap a char with someone else, which is what it seems you think this is for. They have worded it a bit vaguely... its basicly there to allow you to move any of your chars on your account to another server or to move your characters from one of your OWN accounts to another of your OWN accounts. The accounts have to be yours and they have to be registered with the same name.

I don't want to get into a dicussion with the ins and outs.. I understand what it is their for/how it works and I know people that have changed characters across accounts by mutual agreement; so it can be got around. So once again if anyone is actualy interested something could be worked out.

the main way people get around it is when the buyer create a brand new account in the name of the seller, which is how the seller can transfer to the buyer without problems, this ofcourse means the buyer is limited to using gamecards, as credit/debit cards wont work as its the wrong name.

Anyway, im not too sure about OcUKs rules, but im guessing they are agaisnt aiding in the breaking of the games terms of service, as the only legit people you can transfer to are family, and if you want to transfer with your family, here isnt the place to ask.

If your name is John Smith and you change it to Simon Buttsniffer, then immediately do a paid character transfer, whilst the account email is registered to [email protected] and payments made by a card registered to John Smith, it's going to be pretty obvious that something is going on.

If you have legally changed your name, you will have reason to change your email and certainly any bank details you have.

It seems you insist on applying your logic to everything, but logic will not stop a person at blizzard saying "wait... what?" and then banning your account. They're not idiots.

Good luck. Frankly for the effort it takes to do all these charades youcould sooner and safer just level a new character.

You are VERY wrong, name is not a priority. One of my wow guildies had an account, and his dad and his sister also used the account, eventually they wanted their own accounts, Blizzard allows the characters to be moved to the NEW accounts and all they wanted was the same billing address.

So name is not 100% important.

We can safely assume that the father and sister had the same surname. If the billing address is the same, then it adds as further evidence that the account isnt being traded away.

What you have posted is an exceptional circumstance. In your example, what Blizzard wanted was proof that the account wasn't leaving the family. Name is obviously going to be the first port of call. Given the circumstances you've mentioned, Blizzard obviously AGREED to the account split, and asked that the billing address remain the same as further proof that the account wasn't leaving the family.

So he wasn't VERY wrong was he? He wasn't wrong at all.
