Wow Demo?

Hi all

just wondering is there a downloadable wow demo?

if so how cut down is it from the full game and what limitations do you have

You can download a 10 day free trial which is exactly the same as the full version but with a few limitations like not being able to trade I think.
 
Yeah, there's a trial for 10 days, and if you like it enough, you can simply choose to upgrade your trial account and have the restrictions unlocked. The restrictions aren't that much, they are mostly there to stop illicit activities from people like gold sellers and account sellers/buyers. You can pretty much do anything.

If you do get around to it, there is a home for you on Shattered Halls realm on Horde side. ;)
 
i've played a lot of lotro over the last 12 months getting to characters to lvl 50 and completeing most of the game,

one of my best mates online plays wow and has been nagging me to play with her for a while i think my resolve is starting to crumble :)
 
I've just converted to WoW, and i've never got into these type of games. I love it, and so does the other half.

I downloaded the trial that a friend invited me to, then bought the Battle Chest for £25 which gave me a free month + expansion. Just paid my first month, so my friends happy as he gets a referral free month. Im level 35 after a months casual play and my other half is about the same with her char.

Looking to get a laptop or something so we can play at the same time. Tis fun.

But 9million users. 40 servers world wide. Thats 225000 players on average per server, but you can get stats that says things like 2000 horde and 1200 alliance. Where is everyone else?
 
there are more like that amount of servers in the EU

Us has aobut 60 servers.

You have to think about 75% of them players are in Asia.

im getting really tempted to play

ad i just noticed a high street store is selling the retail game for 7.99

would it be worth me just picking up the full game?

do u get 30 days free or anything like that?

lol i know im being a noobert but whats the best way for mme to get into the game?

retail from store, download, buddy key?

Buy the game, sign up, you get 30 days free, then you have to start paying.

You can then try it and see.
 
with the 10 day key tho wont i have to download like 4gb's of files or somthing ridiculous?

this will make me sound terrible but im lazy enough that i would rather pay 7.99 than wait on the download

Personally I went for the download trial. Then got hooked :(

I guess it depends on your net connection.... Only took me a night to download.

I'm pretty sure you will have to spend around a day downloading all the patches regardless of weather you get the trial or full version. I'm not sure how big exactly since I don't have wow anymore, but at a guess 15-20gb?
 
you have to download the the trail game which is well over 3gigs then after that get the patches which is near 1gig...so altogether you nearly download 4 gigs.

I've been playing the trail for the last 10 days and i have to say i love it. I never thought i would like it as i don't like games like this. I think i'll probably buy it. :D

Uhm, no, there's about 60 realms per continent. And far more in Asia.
