I'm now getting on for level 16 as a Lizard-Man Shaman.

I'd personally recommend, Scrap the default UI and get www.tukui.org/

It is amazing, Par this with:

Atlas + look
Questhelper
A totem addon - neverplayed a shammy.

And your sored!

TukUI has post of them other addons built into it and best off all it looks amazing!

Well generally i have skada turned off. Clears out a lot. I run big rune bars so i can keep a good idea of my runes. Just need a 24" screen then its perfect

Err where is evidence to show that the more addons you use the more likely you are to be hacked/keylogged?

More likely the less computer savy you are, the more likely you are to download a dodgy wow patch (there was one, had to crc/hash to notice it) or run a supposed addon "installer".

To be fair though, addons arent a requirement to play any MMO. The only addons I used to use when I played WoW was the one which made your radar square instead of circular and other layout addons. I never used any crutch addons to do stuff for me/make things easier. I did fine without them , was able to pvp, was able to raid, was able to pve.

Now I'm not saying theres anything wrong in using addons, not by any means, I'm just saying it is possible to play without them. Some people would say that using certain addons means you arent actually playing anyway, the addon is playing for you. Not a viewpoint I particularly agree with but some would say it.

Whether I was as good as people who did use the addons I dont know. Certainly nobody ever complained about me or suspected that I wasnt using addons so I guess it never showed either way. For me , addon usage stems from what your aims in the game are though, I just aimed for fun so I didnt ever discover a necessity for addons in order to do that.

As I say, that could be true, I certainly never had anybody complain about my "performances" without addons. Nobody even seemed to know whether I was using any or not, make of that what you will. Though it comes down to what you want to achieve in an MMO, my aim was only to have fun playing so I never made any effort to be the best or play the best, just have fun

Absolutley, at the end of the day thats what its all about, games are meant to be fun! Different people interpret that different ways, myself I probably have the most fun when I know that I'm performing to the best of my ability, others don't care as much and are perfectly entitled to play the game how they like! (apart from if they are in my raid team! )
