hey all, as I have now hit level 70 as a hunter (my 1st char), I have been completing quests and pvping for epic gear.

I want to get some better gear to eventually raid......so which instances are good for a new level70? (I know mechanar and thats it:))

and merry christmas ppl:p
thanks

1. quest/pvp/instance to get gear, as you are doing now. heroic ones give better loot so you might wanna grind some rep :)
2. find guild forums, and apply to as many as you want
3. you will get a trial to a guild, maybe straight in
4. complete the trial and get kicked, or become a member

rinse and repeat if you fail the trial :p

what realm are you on btw?

Grind all normal instances until you're fed up and have enough rep for heroics.

grind heroics

raid

profit :)

OK. Having played for a number of years I think I can offer some good adivce.

Firstly before doing instances complete every single quest and 5-man quest in Outland. The quests give you 10g at least per quest some as much as 25g. By the time you have completed every quest you should have about 2-2500gold. Now if you have a gathering profession I hope you aquired and sold on these mats (or put them to good use) as this nets you a lot of gold. By doing the 2 things above I was able to make 5000g by the time I dinged level 70. I used Skinning to get my gold from gathering. using Herbalism/Mining or Skinning as 2 professions would net you an even larger profit.

You will have enough gold for your epic flying mount.

I did not instance while leveling too which means if you do that you will get some blues, do less quests meaning more gold from quests as there should be more to do.

Once you have done all this you should be decked in blues from so many quests and the odd lowbie instance. Now I would suggest getting your "tier" set for the Hunter. Running SteamVaults is good for hunters as the last boss there drops 2 parts for your set. So that would be a good place to start.

After that I would say Shadow Labs as MurMur drops Sonic Spear which is great for hunters as a 2-h spear.

This will take you ages to do alone. Once you do all that come back and I will help further if you like.

for the nub called m4cc45, why flame, just don't come into the thread if you cannot bring anything cinstructive

Unfortunately any sense of achievement through raiding died when TBC was introduced.

So really it's time to re-roll or PvP.

Go outisde

Another useful post for someone who wasted his own time bothering to read a thread of a subject he/she is obviously not interested in. Seriously why bother posting?

Mglover try looking which guilds are progressing and put in some applications, raiding is what i love doing in the game as long as the progress is reasonable. Try not to apply for to many guilds as some guilds wont like to see that you've applied to everyone and not because you actually like the guild.

http://www.wowjutsu.com/eu/thunderhorn/ this site is good for getting an idea of what guilds are doing well on your realm (This is my realm).

Didn't bother to read any of it, read thread title and clicked reply

What i said is truth.

My God some of theses WOW players are a bit touchy. It's only a game - get a sense of perspective, and try a sense of humour while your'e at it. Oh i nearly forgot - ;)

what you said is rubbish, he gets 1 char to lvl 70 and he's suddenly got no life?

It's amazing how ppl can make comments like that without even reading the post, nice way to bump your post count i guess... as thats about all it's worth.

There's a reason for it though, it's because we cant have a WoW post on this forum without someone having to have a go and make the ppl who play the game see like lifeless vegtables. It just annoys me in any thread i read when ppl post when they obviously have no interest.

edit: as for your comment following this post.....well it explains everything.

Yes, reading over and over again how people need to go outside and get a life is very funny. Did you come into this WoW thread to post off-topic garbage?

thanks for the (constructive) replies. Will do what you have all said when I have chance.:)
For the idiots in this thread I do have a life, it took me since last Jan to hit 70with one character (playtime under 17 days which i think wasn't too bad for my 1st time)
