I never picked it up, so effectively ive had it put down infinitely.. does that count?

I gave up after I got to L60 with a few characters. Its a bit pointless if you think about it. Unless you continue subscribing evenyually all those hours that you put in are wasted.

So use your time more wisely and give up for good

I have been forced to put wow down atm because my computer is up the spout, I won't tell you where, but its been back and forth to the company 3 times so far... :(

My PVP rank is suffering too. I was supposed to become Guildmaster... hope it will still happen...

Gonna pick it up again when the :) xpansion comes out got 3 60's to grind to lvl 70

Yes, I have sold my account so no going back. It is surprising how much time gets free'd up after quitting a MMO, finally have time to play the fun games :)

Yes, been on the straight and narrow now for 3months...

missing the game a bit... not missing the endless amount of kiddies that play it!

come play guild wars and enjoy just playing a game without guilt tripping yourself over how much time justifies the monthly sub.

:D

I played since beta and gave it up about 2 months ago, got 4 characters to level 60 and a couple to 40ish, joined a raiding guild for the last 6 months and started playing hardcore and this was the point it got a bit too much where my real life was suffering so decided to cut the ties and sell my account which I got quit a tidy sum for.

Still miss it a lot, im fairly bored now and the temptation to start another account is quite high!

Where did you sell your account? On an aution site and what did you get for it?

I have two level 60's amd a L19

What do you think I could get for it?

Sold at that rather large auction site, rather lame to sell accounts but hey, may as well get something back for all the time I put in.

I got £320 for my account which consisted of 1 epicced out tier1/2 Priest, 2 well geared level 60 Rogues and a well geared level 60 Shaman and a few alts.

The amount you may get for your account would depend on your characters classes and how well geared they are.

I put it down for 3 months, sold my account and that well known auction site. Thought I had finished for good.

Summer ends, and I've started a new account this week. Doh!. Still nothing else I play entertains me, so may as well go back to something mildly enjoyable.

I put it down but I haven't started to socialise more, so might as well go back to it. ;)

that seems quite low, i sold my main priest account (full bwl/aq40 healing gear) and a blue pvp geared warrior for nearly twice that, maybe i got lucky and someone was desperate for a priest account :o

Like all of the current MMORPG's, WOW just follows the same format:

Race to get to a high level as fast as possible
Wait for expansion
Race to get to highest level again
Rinse & Repeat.

Now if we look at the original MMORPG (Ultima Online) where people used to log in for hours on end and do nothing but chat with mates and use it as a "chat room on steroids" - who had the right idea?

Maybe we will see a new MMORPG in the future that isn't based on levels and then maybe people won't get bored of the games so quickly.
