WoW Questions

Trade skills always a bugger to level. On my 'new' main I did herbalism and skinning. Make a lot of money on the server I'm on. Always other people with recipes u need and levelled higher who can make/enchant what u need. Cant say I miss having a trade skill. My old main did Enchanting, I just send him all the BOE greens to DE and I sell the mats on the AH. Impressive how much a stack of Arcane dust goes for now.

I wouldnt worry too much Dillinga I played both a warrior and a paladin they are strong choices. Warriors do very good dmg later on and are the standard tanks. Paladin dps is pretty decent too atm they are arguably the strongest maintanks and they are good healers too although you may get bored of the healing style. You cant go wrong with either really they are both hybrids so you got options later on.

Leveled a pally to lvl 9 last night which I really enjoyed lvl'ed faster aswell but that was most likely the fact I had already done the quests before.

Think I'm going to stick with the Pally as healing randoms as I walked pass was strangley satisfying ;)

I will warn you of one thing though. Buffing people as a paladin can be stressful :p

"Can I have kings" says one priest another will say "wisdom please". Not raided as a paladin, but drives those I know who play them *completely* crazy.

Which server are you on.

My highest WOW char is 52 dwarf hunter.

I've been playing since 2005 bought BC but never got to visit it yet lol

I'm on Steamwheedle. But willing to respec if you are looking for someone to quest with.

To the OP, Dillinga - a few gameplay elements have changed since the good ol' days of level 60.

- most enchanting items now stack to 20 instead of 10.
- the same goes with some potions
- the hearthstone cool down is now 30 mins instead of 60
- Naxxramas is now playable as a level 80 instance instead of 60
- if you've played FF7, you will remember the ability to slot materia into your armour. Blizzard have done the same, by allowing slotting of gems in your amour to add stats
- Northrend (the new level 70-80 place) has 2 starting zones

Talking of leveling, I always do the 1-58, then go through dark portal. Level to 68 in Outlands, and then off to Howling Fjord. I typically do HF and Borean (boring) Tundra before finishing the rest off.

I hated levelling my Warrior.

My most recent roll was a Mage which I took all the way to 80 as Arcane spec. Loved every minute of it.

Don't think anyone's mentioned locks? Really fun to level and a ton of DPS later on.

Paladin was easy to level as Retri.

Shadow Priest a bit harder but much fun later on...especially in PvP

Yeah, its fun watching how fast you die :p

Actually Shadow's are good in BG's, but arena....

That problem is removed by downloading an addon called PallyPower. It lets you set all buffs for each class - then it is just a case of clicking a button. Buffing is really not a problem anymore. I raid as a level 80 holy paladin - another addon required if you are going to heal groups is either healbot or grid. Both allow for fast "mouse over name" healing (which is essential once you start raiding).

In terms of classes being easy to level - retribution paladins are really easy and quick. I'd say a lock/hunter are fastest. Slowest I've tried is a priest.

Once you get to level 80 and get some decent tier - the best solo class is probably the holy paladin. I can pull probably 10 level 80 mobs at a time (only limited because it is hard to find that many in one spot!) and just aoe and heal without losing much in terms of health and my mana pool never drops. Infact, it can be good fun to run through low level instances pulling everything then killing it all at the end with aoe. I've done that a few times!

Be warned though, to get the best tier you'll have to join the best raid guilds - and then you can say goodbye to several hours a week. Also - just as you get the best gear, Blizz will release another arena season/dungeon which instantly outdates what you have - good marketing ploy but annoying!!

In terms of PVP (arena) - holy paladin is decent...but ret is probably the best spec at the moment. Class-wise rogues always do well in pvp. DK's and locks are also decent. Druids are probably the best class for pvp at this point in time.

imo lvling as prot pally is the way forward :)

Its what I am lvling as at the moment. It is fab, you become basically un-killable. Very good for soloing.

I didn't even try it. Don't worry though! every 1 and half minutes you can reduce damage by 90 percent to yourself. For 6 seconds. I know it silences us too, but blizzard says that isn't an issue. ;)

It's cool when you first get it but then its like meh. That 10% damage hurts a lot too when you are being cut to bits by some poxy rogue and you can't do anything about it!
