WOW Raid 0 Is Fast

didnt realise I would get this much read performance from a Raid 0 pack, over my old 250Gb 16Mb Cache Seagate drive.

New drives are Maxtor 500Gb 32Mb Cache, in a Raid 0 pack, and its pretty nifty.

Just as a matter of curiousity did you test either of the new drives against the Seagate first? I'd suspect a fair bit of the difference comes from them being newer drives rather than it being purely down to using them as Raid0.
