WoW Resto Durids

I lol'd.

About time LB got nerfed. Far to overpowered in arena and pve.

How about adjusting to the nerfs and carry on like most paladins/mages do.

I gave up WOW last year in part due to my lovingly specced and geared resto druid becoming pretty much worthless in PVE. The only purpose of having a druid in raids was combat res, gotw and the HOTs, for which the guild never needed more than one. Paladins and priests are both more effective healers than resto druids and bring more to a raid group in general, feral druids are also in demand, but being one of about 5 resto druids competing for a raid spot meant not much action for me.

5 man instances are difficult with a druid as main healer (especially heroics), so not much demand there either.

Shame because I really enjoyed playing that class, more than any other.

This might make me look like an idiot since i'm only a casual player but why not just respec to feral? Seems a bit pointless to quit the game because of a nerf, find a new way to optimise your druid or even start a new character afresh.

Well its not always that simple, there may already be other more experienced feral druids in the guild who have an established raid spot, and theres the question of gear - I spent a lot of DKP on my gear and it would all have to be put aside to basically start from scratch. Also playing as a main tank is not to everyone's tastes.

Its a bit dramatic to quit the game because of one nerf, but it could be that it's the straw that broke the camels back in a series of nerfs of a class that is already far from the best healer.

Look I played a druid for almost a year, LB does need a nerf.

I have done Prince with me and another as a druid. No other healer and average gear. We spammed HoTs and kept LB stacked and we barely broke a sweat.

Druids are usually always in the very top 2v2 Arena ratings too.

Druids are NOT easy to play compared to a Paladin with Flash of Light. Have also cleared Seth Halls last boss in 5-man many times not wiping on Heroic... all in tree form and in decent but not amazing gear.

8% is not a massive nerf.

Not exactly high end raiding there.

An 8% nerf to lifebloom that isn't THAT bad. Sheesh. Other classes have been hit with the nerfbat far more harshly. I still remember when shadow weaving and silent resolve got nerfed. That's way worse.

Of course not  If you take note of the other posts you will find comments such as them being useless in 5-man's and rubbish compared to Priests and Paladins. My response was directed to that. Not how far I progressed.

I was giving out an example of my own experience playing an alt. I have played with Druids in 25-man instances and my opinion remains as in my original post.

TBH its about time druids got nerfed, in PVP they are just too OP. In PVE the 8% will make next to no difference in long fights. Just learn to play with the nerf like the rest of us.

My lock has been nerfed loads and is still getting nerfed next patch and for the record I haven't raided BT/MH but 3/4 TK and 2/6 SSC and counting.

The man's point is that you're obviously not as leet as him. Remember he's played WoW longer than anyone on these forums ;)

It's about time Durids got nerfed? You are kidding me right?

Does no-one understand that choosing to be resto makes you immediately inferior to every single other type of healer?

That spending all 61 points in the resto tree (for a tree) does not allow you to access all of your resto spells..
That's like telling someone they have won the lottery but they can't spend all the cash.

That the buff you get from shifting to that has to be worked on and has to be taken into account for every single item you put on..

That while out doing daily quests and you suddenly pull something that it takes ~40 seconds to down it..

That you will end up in the graveyard in every single pvp area and that you are only a sacrificial lamb to allow someone else's HK's to go up, IF they decide to help you (pvp is known for that right?)

That all the gems you chased and paid for are effectively wiped out of the +heal scenario in the next patch..

Want me to into finer detail?

Yeah, they need the nerf alright... You are right.
