WoW Resto Durids

Do you enjoy playing the game still? i played for a year from launch and then gave up as i was playing just for the sake of it, felt like a job.

Maybe take a few months out and go back with a new perspective.

Edit* Hope i don't sound patronising as i'm really being serious.

You don't sound patronizing at all :).

I do still like the game, the class, the guild and the healing, but working towards something for the 12 months since expansion to have it taken away by patch..... I'd just rather I was hacked tbh.

I remember when detect traps was made perma and not a toggle, worst rogue nerf ever. :( Used to drive people mental with that back in the day waiting for Nef to reset.

People have to put themselves in Blizzard's shoes.

You get people bitching and whining like a couple of school children at you all day that druids need nerfing. You then nerf them, and then the druids take the place of the original whining group.

I agree that druids are FAR to overpowered in PvP at the moment, as a prot warrior I cant possibly kill a druid.

And as for raiding, I think druids are absolutely fine for healing. Our guild is currently farming both Hyjal and Black Temple each week, and when it comes to the % healed on the WWS reports, all the priests/paladins/druids are about even. Unfortunately, this patch will probably knock druids down to the bottom of the ladder in PVE healing.

Its a sad fact, but we cant have both good in PVE, and balanced in PvP.

And us hunters could tell a noob rogue when he appeared in our traps lol.

This guys Druid got nurfed.

And then some woman who never played WoW wrote a song like this.

Do you see what playing WoW can do to you?

That's exactly why spells/abilities should have different stats in PvE and PvP. :)

The changes to regen are going to allow them to use their less efficient direct heals more often in PvE, which should hopefully make up the difference. I've seen a chart of the effect and you could easily be looking at an extra 200mp5 if they don't change anything. At the higher reaches of int/spirit levels you might be getting 300+ extra mp5. Healers are most certainly NOT getting nerfed in PvE with the new regen rules.

Does no-one understand that choosing to be resto makes you immediately inferior to every single other type of healer?

You really sound like you don't have a clue what you are talking about.

Restoration druids are very capable in both pvp and pve, even with an omgwtfbbq 8% nerf.

Stop getting so worked up over something so minor.

Live: ticks for 264 and final bloom 1.7k
PTR : ticks for 244 and final bloom 1.9k

Emp Rejuv effect slightly buffed to cater for your comment above

BUT

<-- these are not available to a resto druid in tree form.

Where is this 200MP5?
Only ppl running private servers could ever reach 200MP5, never mind an additional 200:

Druid

* Cyclone range reduced to 20 yards, down from 30.
* Lifebloom healing coefficient reduced by $
* Natural Perfection now reduces damage by 2/3/4% down from 1/3/5%
* Improved Tranquility: Now also reduces the mana cost of Tranquility by 10/20%.
* Moonkin Form no longer gains 150% attack power or mana returned from melee hits, but now refunds 2% of your total mana every time you critically hit with a spell.
* Force of Nature: Treants now have a 15% chance to proc Entangling Roots on the target.
* Nurturing Instinct: Increases your healing spells by up to 50/100% of your Agility, and increases healing done to you by 25/50% of your Attack Power.

I play a PvP Resto Druid and LB is overpowered. 8% nerf is nothing really, considering the other hots we have too.

In PvP yes, but I don't PvP much, in fact they could take it right out of the game for me.

You are around 0/0/61, yes?

Tell me though, how often do you end up in the graveyard because no-one helped you out and you just ran away healing yourself, be honest now? :p

I'd like to back it up with evidence (I plucked rough figures from memory) but the work firewall prevents me from accessing any WoW sites. You could have a look at the elitistjerks.com forums where I found the table showing the effects of the upcoming changes.

Either way, I'm in a guild that's 5/5 MH and 4/9 BT. We have one Resto Druid and we'd love to have a second even with the LB nerf.

Thanks mulpsmebeauty, looks like a good source for info, will dig and see what they are saying.

-- Chewy, I will link gear but use outftter so gear you see is not resto gear, armory seems to be crashing right now.
Also what was the need for the post above? RE: How much I know.
I only just noticed it.

What language did you use to code the game again? I forget.

No not really, considering I can outheal pretty much any other class with ease and also CC/travel form :p

Just started doing arena with mates. Any good pvping resto druid will not be 0/0/61. e.g. I have points in Feral for Feral charge etc, as CC is vital in 2v2. 0/14/47 is my spec. Tree form is not needed
