Hi guys forgive me from the onset but im a massive wow Noob. I only really got into the game back end of last year and played for three months. I then froze my account before December and have not played or activated it since.

I have a friend who wants to get me back into the game (which im more then happy to do) however we want to use the scroll so that he can get a free month when i re-sub.

He tried to send me the scroll last night but it (apparently) kept giving him the error along the lines of "you cannot use the scroll on this character it is either incompatible or has been used in the last 90 days"


Is there anything we are missing?

Does different realms make a difference? Different expansion packs make a difference? any help would be great

Annoyingly you're not able to use it on anyone who's upgraded their account to The Burning Crusade or beyond.
 
That is utterly plop because there is going to be no one playing the game on just the standard version with no expansions ...


Oh well looks like no free month for my friend then.

It means he is trying to send you a scroll of res but unfortunately you have used it in the last 3 months (So December was not the last time you played, more like January,. or your Sub ended weeks after you quit).

Check on your account when it expired and if its close to 90 days just wait.

Or as others have said, the account is an upgraded one.
 
Its well over 90 days pal its been 5-6 months almost

The account is a burning crusade account and it appears that the scroll does not work with this.

what a waste of time having scrolls when they are almost useless.
