WoW - Shadow Priests in here please

Another quick question I was wondering about. You need to apply SW:P with Shadow Weaving a 5x right? I was wondering, I have the Lightweave on my cloak, would reapplying SW:P when Lightweave procs and take my spellpower to around 3k, increase my SW:P damage and calculate the damage done on 3k even when the proc wears off?

Hope this question makes sense. Thanks

I usally use SW:P again after LightWeave procs (if its not set from that already). Not sure if it helps, but its habbit now :p

Waste of GCD and mana, you're gimping your DPS bigtime. When SW:P is refreshed by mind flay it recalculates spell damage modifiers again; if it's higher than before it'll do that. It'll ignore the new modifiers if they're lower damage than before (think of it as 'more powerful spell already active') but refresh the duration anyway.

This pretty much means you can potentially cast SW:P before everything else and not worry about low damage as your mindflay would modify the spell power as it refreshes it.

You know that mindflay ticks give shadow weaving? This means a mindflay gives three. My starting rotation as a result is VT-DP-MF-SWP.
Indeed, but I also have the trinket from Sartharion, and so try to get an extra stack of that in before applying SW:P.

So what you're saying Plat is that the old rule of casting SW:P when Spell Weaving hits x 5 is pretty much nulled now? Can SW:P be cast first then?
