So, I am lvl 25 Tauren Restoration Shaman, and I´d like to know is it good for me to be restoration? Are pallys and priests better at healing? Should I leave the healing to them and concentrate on elemental/enhancement?

If you enjoy it, do it. The best healer I ever met was a Shaman. She was also mental... would insist we do 5man content with 3 people without any pauses :p But damned if she'd ever let us die...

Was she hot also? ;)

Paladins are terrible healers in comparison to all other healing classes as, even when they are holy spec, their mana used compared to amount healed is much lower. Priests have the potential to be the best healers but it is all about mana management, equipment choices and stuff. (I guess, having never played a healer)

My advice is play what you enjoy, for me its not shaman of any spec :p

Yeah. Many ppl said i was good healer. I love it :D I think i´ll stick to resto. thanks for the quick replies.

Also as resto, will i need Spirit? I heard not

edit: My gear: Robes of Arugal, Belt of arugal, Emberstone staff, Feline Mantle. Etc mainly spirit stamina and int. this ok?

If you play in a group often then stick with enhancement - just be aware that you won't be able to solo very quickly if you need to. You can always change spec though /shrug.

Enhancement spec all the way while you are grinding up the levels.

Then it is up to you how you spec depending on what you want to do.

Erm what? Admittedly its a few months since I played, but Paladins have always been awesome healers. Low mana costs, higher mana regen, more from +heal, quicker casting spells..?

Blessing of light + Flash of light with a relatively low +heal and mp5 (certainly in comparison with a priest, I never healed on my shaman) is the best healing you can get bar none.

Spirit does come in handy but MP5 is the one to go for due to crap mana efficiency. Remeber that spirit only comes into effect when out of combat for 5s, MP5 is constant. What i did was concentrate on Int for large mana pool and +heal followed by MP5 and whatever Spi i got from that is good enough. I'd keep a MP5 heavy set for long boss fights etc though.

Pally's, like shamans, if played correctly can be excellent healers.

Sorry didnt check level, that comes later :). For now concentrate on Int for a bigger mana pool. If you are solo healing you won't have 5 secs to regen mana so a bigger mana pool is far more important.

Yeah but not too much, my shammie wore a few leather pieces at level 70. Also, make sure you use a 1h with a shield if you do.

Yep :)
Quite the man eater though ;)

Forget spirit at your level, go for int as your main attribute while healing. I also wouldnt bother with any healing talents until 60+, they just dont make enough difference until then.

Wearing leather while healing is ok, but you have to be more careful about pulling aggro.
