Nah, not respeccing, dirty deeds is rather nice for pvp, 9 yard range sap, decreased energy costs... uber! :D

However, the ***** arbitrarily put the extra pt from 3/3 imp sap into MoD, so now I have 4/5 MoD (I'm Nightelf so only need 3/5 tbh). Would have rather sunk the extra pt into initiative. Ah well.
 
Druids are buffed :D

Have around 24k armour now unbuffed (previous 17k), also a little bit more dodge, and best of all epic flight form quest line.

bring it on!
 
hum, final patch I think. Says WOW 2.1.0enGB and its 529MB, when I go to download it from fileshack I can only find the 344MB one?

Any help with this please?

Damn them, they nerfed ardent defender!!! Adding improved holy shield only patially makes up for, plus I think you should get a free or cheap respec with the patch - I only have 12g left now!!!
 
Have they made warriors actually worth while now?
I left WoW a while ago and am now playing Lord of the Rings Online (which I am enjoying much more than I eve did with WoW) but when I was playing WoW Warriors were pretty much useless - Feral Druids would out DPS them and and Druids could also tank well too.
 
Well we cleared kara today in one night. It was too easy. No pots needed. On nightbane during the add phases i useually had to spam heals and dispels today the damage was laughable. All bosses have been nerfed, and all epics bumped was so easy.

Wednesday we downed Mag today for the first time, i think it was 4 or 5 tries. Went Gruul after was easymode as normal.

Going SSC sunday now all tanks have there resist gear sorted we should get hydros and lurker down.


Iv got 1980 +healing now on my holy priest(28/33/0). Thats using a staff too, if i used mace+off hand id have more.

Iv got 880 spell damage too :O

They nerfed and buffed Frost mages, you cant double ice block now, you get a debuff called "Hypothermia" (sp) which makes you unable to ice block for 30 secs. They also got a flat 5% damage increase through Arctic Winds. New rank of Ice Barrier at 70. Frostbite and Frost nova now have diminishing returns no more warrior owning.

Have they made warriors actually worth while now?

They buffed Charge, Intercept and Intervene so that it breaks ALL slowing effects. Flurry got nerfed by 5% and Spell Reflection has no GC.

Kara encounters have been nerfed?? Can't remember seeing that in the patchnotes...
 
They buffed Charge, Intercept and Intervene so that it breaks ALL slowing effects.

They only pause the slowing effects for the duration of the charge/intercept/intervene to avoid the highly annoying bug where you end up in completely the wrong place after using them.

not sure on the nerf but healers and dpsers got buffed so all instances will be slightly easier.
 
Rogue's finally got Imp. Sap as a core ability which we have needed since release, especially so we dont have have to gimp spec 7 points in the sub tree which is a real DPS hit for a combat swords Rogue like me. Will give us a bit more utility in PvE also and the replacing talent means the old 2 points in the sub tree can be used to increase the distance of Sap, so goodbye Hunter's standing in the middle of their flare/trap! :D

Also the cleave changes will help us massively and sword specialisation has been finally sorted out and charges taken off poisons! Best Rogue patch ever which will see us back at the top of the damage meters where we belong.
 
why do rogue belong at the top of the damage meters :/ surely the classes should be balanced. Mages will still destroy them anyway. That ice lance thing is ridiculous. I went into WSG with 13k hp and some mage 1 shot me :/

Because a Rogue bring nothing else to a raid set up other than DPS. All other classes have at least some utility. So therefore they should be best at it, which is how the developers intended and what these changes reflect.
 
balanced yes but why the hell should a ranged dps that requires no healing do as much dmg as a melee thats draining the healers mana, there has to be a payoff somewhere and thats where the extra dps comes in. 90% of the problem with TBC was that nearly all the encounters favoured ranged dps.

Amen.

However, rogues still aren't a favourable class for 5v5 arena, much to my dismay. I've been sidelined by my team in their bid to become a 2000+ rating team due to the fact that warriors bring more to the table and chuck out similar dps :(

Hopefully some of the cleave changes and instances have been changed to sort that problem out. Havent tested it yet or seen any feedback as of yet though.

Another of Blizzard's unfathomable design decisions - the pairing of a Pally and MS Warrior is such a blatant necessity for a top end 5v5 team, yet they seem happy for the situation to persist without any justification whatsoever. The Rogue class in particular is totally stuffed when compared to a Warrior with effectively endless range and massive aoe damage.

Yeah, our group runs 2 arms warrs, a holy pally, and a selection of me (rogue), ench shaman, resto shaman, hunter and a serial respeccing druid. I'm bottom of the selection pile. The games i've played i'm always 1st or 2nd in the damage done, however its my survivability that prevents me getting games, that and the fact that when teams quite often focus on Fire Mages if any, then Rogues as priority as we're classed as squishy. Bloody annoying.

I guess I really need more HP (currently just under 10k) and more resilience, might help.

There was notes about a lot of the encounters being reduced in dificulty. But this week it just seemed way easier than normal. Too easy if you ask me.
