Hiya,

I'm going on the WoW 10 day trial, I won't be able to dedicate a huge amount of time to the game but a few friends who have been playing it a long time have said they'd give me a hand and get me into their guild so I have people to talk to and get advice from :) Only if I stay after the trial of course..

I intend to be a little Gnome Warlock, the class just appeals to me and since I'll probably solo a fair bit I thought it'd be nice to have a pet to keep me company (plus I liked pet classes in DAOC).

Any tips? (other than don't start playing :p ) I did play WoW before as a Druid but think it was a poor choice of character and I was still playing DAOC at the time!

I've started on a server starting with "T" sorry can't remember what it was called at the moment, my friends are all on there but I've no intention of being power leveled. I want to do the quest, learn the story lines etc and just play at my own pace, I won't have a huge amount of time to play anyway and I basically just want to enjoy the character building process and explore as I go along, I've been avoiding guides but I don't want to nerf my character so is there anything specifically as a warlock I should avoid specing in or can I more or less just spec as I want?

Thanks for the advice guys and girls I'm on the Turalyon server on alliance. Some of my old friends are there so if I do stay (enjoying it so far) I'll join up with them if they can talk the officers into letting a little newbie into the guild :)

Only level 6 but enjoying the Warlock far, far more than the druid I had tried to play with before, plus I'm a gnome and bald which is far more like real life ;)
