Client brought in her computer, said her sons complains it keeps crashing in games, did the usual checkups, voltages, temps, memory etc.. everything was fine. Checked the Radeon x800XTs temps... ohh 4mins into 3dmark01 she be at 97C :D, ok fairly warm. Take off sink, reseat, reapply thermal compound etc.. try it again, a bit better at 84C tops but a wee bit warm, idle at 55C ish case coolings not the best with no way for extra cooling, i spoke to her about it and she said sort it out, so i get a Arctic Cooling ATI 5 Rev.2 cooler and install it, omg.. dosen't hit over 58C now and idle in the 30s :) Have had great results with those coolers before but man this was an enormous one :D Oh and the system is rock stable now.

Good work. :)

Shes like 50 and her sons 27 lol. Yea i believe the poor performance of the stock cooler was due to nothing being exhausted, at least the Arctic has that, plus superior cooling.

Well TBH, not a gracefully aging 50 if you get my drift, aside from prolly weighing as much as me and being a foot shorter, the granny specs went on too early :p
