It's hard to believe, but you're looking at computer-generated image of Korean actress Song Hye Kyo, created by Indonesian CG artist Max Edwin Wahyudi. To create this stunning shot, he used a combination of digital sculpting and design application Pixelogic Zbrush and animation modeling software Autodesk 3DS Max.

Very Realistic, but theres still tiny sub-conscience errors that make it look a bit 'digital' the hair etc :) Wont be long until the virtual reality and reality become one :p

There's still something almost rubbery about the face, needs a bit more texture i'd say. Around the lips is worst.

Still, the best so far, can't be too far off something that looks real.

it's not that impressive, considering it's been six years since "final fantasy : the spirits within" was released, which was almost as good.
obviously the above image is better, but six years worth of advances better?

That does look quite realistic. The fringe lets it down but I only noticed that because I knew it was CG. I doubt I'd have noticed other wise :)

VERY good. Can still tell it's computer though... still that's some nice graphics.

Now, who's gonna put them in real time and make a graphic card that can handle it :p!?

Browsing CG talk forums and reading Exposé will show you renderings of similar and even better quality.

From a real life point of view the render is pretty good, but from an artistic point of view it lacks a lot of depth. It's missing that x-factor, but then people expect a "hollywood" type appearance from most life like modelling.

I might give Z-Brush a try when I get my modelling up to speed, it's all about the materials.
