WP7 noob, critique my interface please...

It's a working app, the pictures are screenshots taken off of my omnia 7, and ive been using it to browse the forum when watching tv (which is pretty much what i made it for). Im not going to put it on the market as iirc its expensive, but could upload the xap if people are interested (well assuming i can figure out how to export it from visual studio anyway....).
 
Don't think I have ever posted here. So hello mobile people.

You can put up 5 free apps I think (might just be a student thing). I have 3 different ones I have yet to finish off, a resister calculator(what I make when i learn any new language for some reason), cost per person, per mile calculator thing and a EVE skill monitor app. Never get the time to finish them off enough to upload them to the market but I have all 3 on my omnia 7.

Apps looking good and with out using it cant see much wrong with the general layout :).

Don't have time over the next few days but I'll get it on the market sometime next week, free of course.
 
Think its 5 free apps then the rest need to either cost money or have adverts. Don't think you have to pay to have your app put on the market place. Microsoft just take a cut of adverts or buying price, unless thats changed since I last looked a while back.
 
Can I ask overall how difficult this was to do?
Very interesting and I persoanlly think you have done a great job.

As long as you have an ac.uk email address I think you can set up free for a year. I would offer to upload it for you but if you can upload it yourself go for it!

I have never seen anything to say its only 5 apps? But i did sign up with a dreamsparks code which just said free for 1 year. You could be right though, I will have to look into that myself more.

I would also like to know this. I would be happy to pay 50p for this if it was available on the marketplace (although that would probably be against forum rules?)
 
Looks like it has changed, its now 100 free apps if you pay $99 a year, then they cost money. Cant find out how many free ones you get a student anywhere.
 
Got a little more done today, can now edit posts, and the interface is a bit more user friendly. And of course squashed some bugs :o.

Just thinking is overclockers UK trademarked / copyrighted? I.e. Do I need permission to use it if putting the app on the market?

not very tbh lol. All it does is download the html, parse it using regex and display in (mostly) native controls. For logging in/posting it sends a post to the website.
 
As others have said, this app looks great - just what us OcUK'ers have been waiting for - all we need now is an Android port................. ;)
