Is there a rule of thumb re Wireless WPA length? Mine is a 40-char string with upper case, lower case, numbers and other chars and no human words. Would that be secure enough?

What is kind of weak though is the router displays it as plain text so if someone cracks your router admin password they get the key.

They would need to be on your wireless network to do that though...unless your router is available on your external IP.

And yes it would reduce the risk, but really, no one on this earth is going to bother.

and if you go to the effort of having a 40 char, i think you will have a nice strong admin password. not just the default your AP is shipped with.
