WRC 2011 Cars

So forcing them to design new cars saves money, strange.

Designing a smaller, cheaper car costs less than redesigning a larger, more expensive WRC car each year, and also sets the frame work for the future to save even more expense.

If the WRC is to survive, it had no choice.

Miss the good old days of crazy Audis followed by escort cosworths and then the earlier Scoobies and Evos.

Watching a car worth a fortune bounce off a tree in Kielder Forest was always fun.

Or FIA could open the WRC regs up and let companies use it as a test bed for future technologies

That list is the redbull teams but they sponsor people too Cars are what I mainly know but I am thinking some of the Porsceh 911 cars had red bull livery, mad mikes drift cars, paris dakar rally team (think it was a toureg) etc etc.

On topic: Mini looks horrific in my opinion and what is with that spoiler? The DS3 looks good though. Could the new cars bring the reign of Loeb to an end? I doubt it but hopefully they can create a abit more competition.

They have racing academies in motorsport, going from teams in diddy competitions right up to Torro Rosso, and finally RBR in formula 1, not sure what they have in non single seater racing, wouldn't surprise me if they had something similar in 2 seater racing.

Who'd have thought selling energy drinks could make so much money :D

Like the DS3 the most out of all of the cars. Never gonna be as cool as the days of the Evo and Scooby battling it out though.

No company has money for a technology race right now. Besides, the S2000 regulations should lead to developing more road relevant technology.

So if they don't have money then no-one will spends lots ...
The point is, let companies spend as much as they want, on whatever area they want.

Some companies will spend lots, others will spend less and still win (the old days of small teams turning up with cool new ideas and winning).

By limiting the regs you actually harm small teams as they can't find some clever idea to make them win.
