I want this but I'm not sure if I wanna be dragged through the early access experience
50/50 on whether I wait for the complete game

Played this today and for a very early access release its polished. Running on a 4070s ultra settings and it looks superb. Only a couple of maps and a few cars at the moment.
Handling seems decent enough. Id say at the moment its basically a DLC for wreckfest but im sure over the next 12 months it will envolve.

Spent about 30 minutes running short races against the AI.

First impressions are that the driving physics are fun, graphically it's a modest but welcome step-up from Wreckfest 1 so far, and the AI aren't embarrassingly bad at racing wheel-to-wheel. Content, even for early access, is minimal but at the end of the day it's just a demo - it's going to get better. Still got the occasional 'floating debris' bug from the previous game, guess that's something that the devs have filed under 'too difficult to fix' :p

Played 4 hours of the early access already. Graphics are great, physics seem really good, AI puts up more of a fight without just doing mad crap like trying to smash you at the expense of them taking the corner constantly. EA is lacking in content, but I'm ok with that, means more people are driving the same track + car combos so can get better data for bug testing before adding more variation in. Hopefully they can add more content at a reasonable pace.
I'm well over 200 hours on Wreckfest and suspect I'll easily do the same on Wreckfest 2 even if they don't add a huge amount of content beyond what was in the original. We play so much of it at LANParties!

I'm about 9 hrs in. So far really enjoying it. Performance and stability in game has been great for me. Only crashes are changing maps or in spectate mode. When actually playing had no issues.

Put a ridiculous amount of time into the first and its nice to be back to everyone on a level playing field.

looks amazing but not sure how much of the finished game will be included for the early access price. wouldnt want to get sucked into this if they just include the barebones of a game and then plan to charge for tracks and cars

I'd like to think we don't have to worry about stuff like that considering nothing like that ever happened on the original. But you never know in this day and age. Game Dev/Producer greed has no limit.

I've chanced it, I figure I'll get £20 worth of enjoyment out of it even if they do end up adding paid content later on.

WF1 tracks were never hidden behind DLC. I actually preferred it pre DLC was much more balanced. The Raiden RS was so OP when first came out and then the tourney cars completely ruined the balance.

Very surprised this is being released considering all the issues the first one had (Dev's going missing for months etc) so hopefully that is all behind them.

latest patch made it a lot more stable for me. Before it never crashed in game now not had a crash anywhere

I watched this for the first time yesterday and it does look good.

Not normally a racing game person but this reminds me of Destruction Deby 1 and 2 on the Playstation back in the day just with fancy graphics lol
