Literally the first thing it asks you to doLooks like problem has been found. Don't assign the recentre view to a button on your wheel through the mod. Use a keyboard key instead.
Something to do with directinput polling.
Update: A few people have tried it now and it seems to be the fix

Removed periodic controller enumeration from the game loop. DirectInput is now read in a separate thread.
Added Controls → Allow Recenter when the game is in the background → Save. Disabled by default.
