Every now and again, after a workout my wrists hurt, not every time and not even every week. Last night I was doing biceps/back and they are hurting and clicking (more than usual). Is there any decent supports or dont they work. If now an exersise maybe? I think My technique is spot on for most things :D (he says) so dont think its that.

I used to suffer with that too so I started taking cod liver oil to lubricate the old joints.
It has helped me a lot, and I notice the aches if I do not take it for a few days.
This may not be the perfect solution however, depending on the strictness of your diet.

I'm only 20!! Surely my joints shouldent be knackered already they have a long way to go! It may be certain exersises. I did biceps back last night, it seems to be ok when I'm doing chest/triceps/shoulders. I did lat pull down, pull ups pal facing narrow grip, bicep curls, and curls with a bar I think last night and bent over rows. (normally I wouldent do the curls with the bar, but My GF wasnt finished so I carried on.

Could any of those cause issues or are my wrists just weak! I might get some wrist supports anyway, give it a go, but more support any reccomendations?

I have a clicky shoulder but it doesn't stop me benching. I wouldn't bother supporting the wrist as it will never gain the strength it could.

I'm 32 and have had similar trouble since I was born. It doesn't get better but it hasn't got any worse and certainly hasn't stopped me lifting for the best part of 10 years.

As for fish oils, I didn't find it made a jot of difference. What helps is to propertly warm the joints first. For my shoulder, I rotate my arms for about 5 minutes. Maybe try wrist rotation and stretching [no wise cracks please] and see how you go.

i have the same problem...both my wrists hurt when i bend them back carryin even light weights...so when doing biceps it does hurt, also a few days after, but for every other muscle its fine...

try to substitue exercises which hurt, with similar ones that dont.

also it turns out i was doing way too much exercise (eg. 3/4 different exercises for biceps) when there really was no need, close grip pull ups on a bar with hands facing you are very good for biceps...and no pain there. All i do for biceps now is a few sets of that, and 3 sets of curls, as bi's get hit from lots of different exercises.

might give wrist straps a try, heard they make a difference

Just because they ache, doesn't mean they are knackered lol.
My joints have always ached since I was a lad.

Have you found that the bicep curls only cause your wrists to hurt if you use a barbell to perform them? Or do your wrists suffer if you use dumbells?
(just trying to eliminate possible causes for you)

Im surprised no one has made a jokey comment about this thread so far!

I had the same thing when doing certain exercises with a barbell. Switching to a ez bar alleviated the stress for those exercises, so that might be worth a try.

I had a similar problem with my shoulder after a ski-ing accident when I was in my teens a few months physio and it's hardly noticable. You might want to seek some professional advice it may be quite easy to cure and also just incase your doing some damage to the joints.
