Write cache flushing cant enable with write back cache enabled.

Never had this problem before but all of a sudden I cant enable write back cache while keeping write cache buffer flushing enabled.

When write cache buffer flushing is enabled, Write back cache option is greyed out in the Intel RST App.

I am aware conflicts are usually caused with the windows settings in device manager but I have toggled those options to my hearts content and I cant get both options enabled in the Intel app.

Some help would be much appreciated.

Win7 X58 chipset, Two Vertex II's Raid0 (pre sandforce, hence why I want buffer flushing enabled).

using latest rst drivers? tried re installing them?

latest mb bios/beta bios?

Yes fully up to date driver wise, I haven't tried reinstalling them.

Will give it a go.

No luck, Am I missing something here I'm sure I used to have both these options enabled at the same time.

Whos the SSD guru on here?

I would like to know if my Vertex II's (Pre-Sandforce) will suffer from having write cache buffer flushing disabled.

I read an article that claimed they will degrade much faster with this option disabled, unlike sandforce drives which benefit from this option being disabled.
