WSUS help

Thanks to guys here I've got WSUS installed and created a computer group. I've then gone in to gpedit.msc and added the template and under 'Windows Components' I've enabled Client Side Targeting and set it to the same computer group name I added in WSUS.
For some reason though only the server is listed in the 'Computers' tree of the WSUS update service.

I've configured Auto updates in GPO and I've specified the intranet MS update location as http://myserver (as per the helpfile) but I still cant see the other PCs.

I've even refreshed the GPolicy.

Is there something I'm missing? Do I not need to add the computers somewhere or do the client PCs just become aware of the WSUS?

iirc it can take hours for the computers to appear. To make it go quicker set the updates detection to one hour in the gpo. Also rebooting the client pc will help

Also, is there a way to send a logged on user a message (not using send mail).

humm there's net send but that's generally turned off by default i believe
