Finally installed Wsus 3.0 on the server here at work.

Quick question, firstly my god it is slow !!! at just updating and populating client machines.

The 'last status report' date and time, how do i 'refresh' this ? My test machine reported back yesterday but not today ?

Any ideas ?

I can't really help you as I have reverted back to WSUS 2.0 (version 3 was awful imo)

Not sure I understand your question - are you looking for a way to force the clients to call home to the WSUS server? If so, you can do this if on the client you call wuauclt.exe /detectnow

Yep, also wuauclt /resetauthorization before that command can help, this will reset the cookie that gets set on the client so that it knows when it last checked in.
