wtf moment at the doc's this mornin

hang on, maybe the OP has already said what the problem is
XXX is a triple X chromosome, or triple X syndrome
OP, are a tall girl with personality and psychological problems?

Why report her? I'd rather not pee off a nurse in case I really did need her help one day! or worse still, she had to take blood and just made it super painful :p

Being unprofessional? The thread isn't the best in the world because we haven't a clue what he has, but I understand the sentiment.

It's like going in for a check-up on a broken toe and then someone saying "oh, so you have haemmorhoids, then?"

This annoys me too, I fail to see how the receptionist feels that they are involved in the doctor - patient confidentiality of it all.

I realise of course that they may represent a good shield against people wasting doctors time for no reason, by responding with "You don't need to come in if you're shivering, just turn the heat on", but I'd still rather they not ask.

That said, it does give the opportunity for some comical responses.

It's to decide when you can get an appointment. If you have an illness that might require a prescription you will get an earlier appointment since it goes down as an emergency.

The horror of someone medically trained at your Doctors surgery reading your medical notes much be dreadful I imagine. Perhaps ring up and get a sick note for stress?.

haha :D

Now I'm sorry I redacted with 'xxx' :p

If it makes any difference please read xxx as thyroid (about as boring as diabetes and similarly as annoying).

Please continue with in-your-endo :D

Then her observation was excellent as thyroid problems often come with joint/muscle/tendon pain.
