ive been doing co op gpw with a mate of mine then suddenly i get the screen saying please put an xbox 360 disc in the console.So i thought it was wierd so i put smackdow vs raw in and get the same message.Do you lot think its done for and should i get a replacement after 7 days of play ????

Sounds dodgy to me, I'd test a couple more games first but it looks like you should get it replaced really.

I have had the enter disc message appear when attempting to join m8's online games on live, it seems it doesnt know the games already in the drive. I have to then sometimes manually load the game within Live and then it connects to the game, I don't know wether a XBL update messed it up? as since having this 360 it's only been occuring within the last couple of mths.

Check the disk, does it have any horrible scratches or anything ?

Happened to me before, was like wtf, it is a 360 disc. although was a bit drunk and sure it said please insert a 360 to use this game! Lol!

If the 360 doesn't recognise the disc as a 'genuine' 360 disk, it plays a little video that is just a screen saying, please insert this disc into an xbox 360..
Sounds like a problem!..

ive tryed 3 diffrent games and it comes up the same thing :/

Sounds like your 360's disc drive is knackered.. take it back to the shop..

got it from an internet shop so will have too post it back and all that rubbish.

Can you phone them first and see what the deal will be? Turn around time etc.

My boyfriends sister had the same problem when she got the 360 on Xmas day, the drive was making a churning sound too, she bought from a shop though so managed to return it the following day.
