OK, So I may be a bit odd preferring old guns to new ones. Are there are good WW2 era FPS games where I can use some nice old guns?

I have Vietcong, but completed it 3 times now, so it's a bit boring...
 
Day of Defeat 1/2 - tho 2 while being better in terms of graphics, etc. has absolutely hideous weapon fire implementations with the most lol worthy recoil and bullet spread ever seen - i.e. 6 foot spread @ 6 foot with the sub-machineguns and more than 2-3 bullets from a hip fired mg = looking at the sky neither of which are realistic and ruin an otherwise pretty good game.
 
I shall add a pinch more info, I am looking for mainly a single player game I can sink my teeth into. I'm not a lover of the ARMA2 engine...

Edit: just noticed you wanted single player game in that case Brothers in Arms is not bad
 
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault w/ Spearhead and Breakthrough expansions. Best online shooter of all time and I bet it still has a lot of players.
