Bit of a tricky one really mate.

They might have to tell us about the iPhone if the software is model dependant. Dunno depends, unless they say its nothing more than an initial glimpse rather than a full run down of the iOS.
 
Well, the last couple of major iOS release has added software features that is phone dependant - Siri for iPhone 4S, pano photo stitching for iPhone 5, and the apple map 3D view (which less talked about the better).

It should be expected the new iOS also brings in feature that is phone dependant, it seems it is their way of doing things to entice people to upgrade. I didn't care for Siri and still don't so I am still on iPhone 4 ! The downside is that with every new iOS releases my phone gets slower and slower......it is a trade off between having more features and a snappier phone. Which sucks.

So almost 3 since now since owning this phone, I might have to suck it up and upgrade to the next one because this one is getting unusable, faults being:

1 - Facebook app frequently crashes because it is quite bloated
2 - The Home button no longer works 100%, I've had to turn on accessbility to get a soft version up
3 - The battery is dying, I don't call anyone in the day, check webpages a few times a day and it'll just make it through the day (18 hours) in a single charge
 
Same boat as me really. I'm on a 4s and facebook app crashes as you say its bloated. Instagram isn't stable. Home button is fine but can already feel its wear.
Mines only 2 gen old (as of next one)
They do seem to bloat badly. Dunno how you've lasted on a 4 until now what with your interests and photo involvement etc.

I have an iPad 3 3G 64G so it is fast enough to cover for my phone's failings. I only use the phone as a last resort really.

Facebook app really is terrible on the IP4. if I get a message I open the app, it takes a good 20-30 seconds before the red number pops up at the top showing new messages, another 15 seconds to show the latest tweets. I think they do it on purpose to make you upgrade.

I see some people still on 3GS on the train and I wonder how !? They must not have updated their phone, ever.

I know my dad is still on a 3GS and It pains me to see him on it. I want to give him an iPhone 5 really bad.
 
To be fair, the Facebook apps (particularly Messenger) are a pile of poop. They crash consistently, especially if switch back to the app without having played with another app first: crash central! (iOS 6 / iP 4S here).
 
Can I just get this in nice and early.

If there's a beta of iOS 7 would anyone be prepared to do that thingy with the code thingy so that I can download it on my phone? :D

(sorry for vagueness, i'm not sure what's involved)

Try a Google Nexus 4. Stock Android has come on quite a bit (but, no it still isn't iOS)
 
Will be interesting - there's a rumour that the new Haswells may not have a dedicated GPU. Be interesting to see what the performance is like compared to my rMBP 15" if thats the case....

(Just to add I hope not as I intend to get another!)
