Just read that the Xbox360 and the Playstation 3 will have slightly different features to each other:

IGN has revealed that the 360 and the PS3 builds will have different features in them. The 360 build will allow you to import music into the game from your hard drive, allowing you to create a fully customised soundtrack. Want Kane to come out to Lady in Red? Sorted. Want Ashley to come out to your own band? Sorted. This is a great feature of the game, and will be welcomed by all players.

The PS3 version of the game has its own cool little trick as well. Whilst your character is walking to the ring, you can press R2 and swap into a first person view. Then, using the six-axis controller, you can change where your character is looking so that you can see all the signs etc. Not sure this is as good long term for the player as the music function, but would be cool for a few times at least.

Quoted from x360a, but original article from IGN.

I think the Xbox360 is the more functional extra and a great idea, but the entrances were stupendously good on 2007 so I'd love to see them in FPS mode :(.

lol it is. The 360 feature is great for those who use CAW fighters. I recently made an Ultimate Warrior one, which looks quite like him but his entrance music is Stone Colds :o

Can't wait for the game. It is my most heaviest played 360 title so far.

You've been able to game to your own soundtrack on the 360 since day 1, so I wouldn't think it's too much work to allow the game to import tracks from your hard drive.

Can you play your own music while you play games on the PS3?

The original royal rumble on the MD/SNES is my favourite. Start with two people in ring, swing him into ropes and hip toss over the ropes, rinse and repeat and you can win the rumble in literally 30 seconds :D

Definately :)

I only wish they make the unlockables a bit easier to get.

I just can't be bothered to go through 1 year of GM mode and win it to get unlimited CAW points...

Or the year before last, you had to own a flipping PSP and connect it to the PS2 to unlock Jake Roberts :(

GM mode is really easy. Just play it against a player on another pad. Fix all the events to be on one show, book none on the other. Doesn't take long, you'll get both achievements and all the CAW points.

I just did that a few days ago, and I wanted to kill myself at the end of it all because I knew it would be so dull to achieve hence me leaving it as the last achievement to get.

I suppose... Maybe I'm just too lazy to do it :o

Might give it a bash tonight :)

Anyone heard whats new this year?

Things I've spotted so far...

Flaming Tables
Reworked high flying system.
Wrestler Classes (Hardcore,High Flyers, Big Man etc...) that effect the moves you can do and the way you wrestle.
Rob Van Dam out (not even as a Legend :() and Sabu in (as a Legend :))

Any new matches, or reworked matches?

Not followed WWE for years, but an avid fan of wrestling since I was a child... and buy every edition of the Smackdown series :)
