I never said she had a personsl account, we have Private Banking accounts :p

She's no different from the scores of other big ballard singers out there. Sure she can sing and very well but as I said she won't be singing like that again. Its going to be hard to find songs that fit her. So They will line up an album with cover power ballards. It will sell but then they have nowhere to go.

As I say Maria from last year was far better looking and as near as dammit as good as singer, yet they did nothing with her.

The whole format is contrived. They didnt even let people sing the songs they want. They make them sing some abba crud when its completely the wrong style for them. Ya think Madonna would have got far on a talent contest she had to sing abba on.

The charts aren't even about having a good voice. Britney can barely sing yet she made enough money out of it. Its harder for young girls to make it as the teeny girls have to connect to them to sell records.

Cowell will make a huge fast buck then move on.
 
Leona is the first female winner of The X Factor.

And the only contestant that never got to be in the bottom two.

I truly believe she will go far, she's good, and no one can knock that. We also dont know what Simon has up his sleeves, she may do something like Beyonce or even Gwen so just dont know!!

I will buy her record!!!
 
I think Leona's success will depend on how good any of her original songs will be. If she does an album full of covers her success will be short lived. Yes she is a great singer but your only as good as the song your singing

p/s. no one else commented on the performance of the night by the ex auditionists singing jackos earth song?
 
I'd like to see her go like Kelly Clarkson (it's a guilty pleasure) and do an album of songs that show off her voice whilst being good tracks with a bit of an edge, not a fan of the Mariah stuff really.
 
Just hope they give here a decent few new songs, and not the typical dross they give to the winners. Hopefully she has some sort of writing ability too :)

Fair play but she doesn't have the personality of either of those you mention. Being the first female winner of X gactor big deal. Mcmanus won it too when it was more of a singing contest. They changed the name and made it about the judges. I think winning pop idol was harder, it was purely vocal ability not judges ego and a bunch of songs the winner would never sing.

That ashley geezer from this series never stood a chance. Was he even singing songs that show cased him, no.

Talent wise this year was the poorest yet, Eddie Munster got to the final and he wasn't that great. Nice guy average singer. Very doubtfull beyond a cover album released in january that he will sell anything.
 
Pleased that talent won the day. I was thinking that the t.v might have to take a flight out the window if Leona did not win...just as well I was watching round me mums house. :p

He knows how to make money from gullable people (kids and teenagers), I'll give him that. Come-on! the only person who got him established was Sonneta! and I wouldn't even call her tallented, would you? Remember "So Macho. You gatta be. So Macho...."
 
I usually hate this crap and don't care, but i thought that she had a really great voice, i think if she does things right she can be big. Or she can end up forgotten like most of these people.
