i have a X fi as per sig and want to run it through my surround sound set up, have thrown all documentation away for my sound card so don't know the best way of doing it.
have tried search fu but cant come up with any answers any help would be gratefully excepted.
im not worried about true 5.1 output just want t be able to watch with sound Iplayer, 4OD etc.

can only fit 1 optical cable in my set up and thats going to my TV, spdif ?? ive seen the connection bu dont know what its for, usaully just us headphones :(

Only way to do it on mine (gamer) is optical to the white socket. Doesn't support co-ax as far as I know so if your TV does then swap it over to free up the optical.

You'll also want a "toslink to mini toslink" cable rather than a standard optical.

will have a look later to see what i have, there is a co ax connector to the mother board, would i just leave both running or switch between onboard and card?
