x-fire

has stopped working

When i click on join server, box comes up asking for my user pass, as normal, enter it click ok.

then bf2 loads, then says "connecting to ea server" asks me which account to use, then just puts me on the main menu.........

how to resolve this please ?

simply don't use x-fire i found it absolutely terrible for 1.6 and hardly anyone uses it anymore, just like steam friends! my advice get irc

X-Fire is simply the best IMO.

i think it means your BF2 username/pass

Yeah, you're correct. I noticed that BF2 has a lot of authentication issues. It's like a 1-in-5 chance you'll get a failed attempt. But if it's just kicking you to the menu, check that the options for BF2 are right within XFire. I found a lot of problems with XFire and some of my games and mods.

xfire is brilliant! its normally the game/pc setup that messes it up

it was working fine untill i noticed xfire is blue instead of white :confused:

its my bf2 user pass that i put in it was working fine

Don't know where i'd be without Xfire...

IRC doesn't show you what server people are on or who is actaully playing so not as good. irc is good for a group chat but can't say I need to do that often outside TS.

It does actually, with the right plugins etc.

But yes, xfire is actually really good, i dont use it because i dont really play that many games, and i just chat on msn with my friends who i play with. bf2/2142 is a problem with xfire, with all the auth issues etc.

The X-Fire logo is blue?
If so, that X-Fire icon was off an X-Fire version about a year ago.
