X1800XT and Command and Conquer Generals

Anybody out there with an X1800XT playing C&C Generals on CAT6.8? Rest of my system is as in sig, Generals worked when I had my 9800pro in the AGP slot but since getting the X1800 Generals just locks the PC up on the splash screen. Anyone help?

Yes works fine on my PC.

It was fine on mine as well but I had a few problems with my old x850xt pe. Generals can be a tad tempremental at times.

Thanks for the answers guys, but could you define problems please, did it lock up on the splash screen?

got no probs runnin generals under my X1800XT matey

Hmmm turns out I just wasn't giving it long enough, the splash screen is non responsive for about 30s then the game loads, happy now.

C&C: Generals is just a horribly coded game. As much as I loved it, it was a complete and utter pain at times.

I would love to but I don't even have Generals anymore, I got sick of the buggy gameplay.

I'm the exact same way with it. Great game when it works right, but when it doesn't its so infuriating.
