Hello All
My mate has just bought a Powercolor X1800XT and has a problem.
In ATI control centre the default clock and memory speeds seem low...
Core Clock in MHz 594 MHz
Memory Clock in MHz 693 MHz

In Riva Tuner:
$0900000000 Graphics core : R520 (16x1)
$0900000002 Memory bus : 256-bit
$0900000001 Memory type : DDR3 SGRAM
$0900000003 Memory amount : 512MB
$0900000004 Core clock : 594.000MHz
$0900000005 Memory clock : 693.000MHz (1386.000MHz effective)
$0900000006 Reference clock : 27.000MHz

The specs on the website say it's:
Core Speed 625 MHz
Memory Speed 750 MHz x 2

He has updated to the latest drivers and still has this problem.
Any ideas?

Thanks, Sam

thats the 2D speeds mate, 3D speeds are the speeds that are listed on sites and stuff

thats totally normal :)

Those are the 2D clocks of the card.

In 3D mode it will speed up to 625 / 750x2 (1500).

mine did that as well.

If in doubt run rivatuner in the background with the graphs open when you run a game. When you exit you will see the clocks have gone up in game and back down now you are out of it.
