x1900 temps

have you got the ati CCC installed?
or you could use programs called 'ati tool' or 'ati tray tools'
but its deffo possible

Sorry while we are on the subject of temps. I did do a quick search and found some answers.

My case temp is around 25c

Gpu core idles around 49-50c and goes up to around 65-70c on load. That about average right using a stock cooler?

I have not overclocked or done anything speical with the my x1900xt.

Cheers

Thats pretty good temps with the stock cooler. My xtx goes to about 85 full load and idles about 50-55.

48/50 degrees idle
65-70 under load.

no overclock. but run the fan @ 100 over 60 degrees (noise but usually were earphones when gaming)

stock cooling

My temps are a little higher. Idle 50-60, load 75-80. I have 3 settings with ATi Tool, 2D (500/600), Stock (625/750) and Maximum (690/790). I start up always in 2D, keeps the fan noise at bay but switch to one of the other 2 settings depending on how resource intensive the game is.

Sorry while your on the subject of using the atitool. What was the voltages u set for your card for 3D?

I tried this once but the voltages on default were a lot lower than what was recommended??

I have a Thermalright V1-Ultra on my x1900xt with 2 80mm fans at 5V. It idles in the mid 40's and hits low 70's under load but it's completely inaudible above the other quiet components in my case. I simply could not live with the stock cooler either under 2D or 3D use.

Thank you for the replys guys.
Just installed the ATI CCC and it says the card is running at 49 degrees idile.
Dont no if that is high, all settings at default and stock cooling in the case.

I'd say that is very good, mines never goes below 55'C on idle :(

In this weather probably looking at <50 during idle, any more and I would check contact (stock HSF cooler only had a dab of grease in the middle of the core) I'm getting 41 idle with the 900 cooler.

Pretty good as during cold period idle was 34-36 (38-41 with stock cooler)
