X1900 Temps

what someone should do is manufacture the his stock cooler as an aftermarket item so others can have a cooler like it. it does seem to be very similar to the standard stock cooler though other than the fan being on the front sucking air rather than from behind pushing the air.

100% Fan speed on my X1950 XTX , Can barely hear it over my other fans :)

Core @ 662

Memory @ 999

I thought i would post this because i said i would tell you my load temps on MSN the other day Concorde, but i had to go to Archery :)

hehe, given me a challenge you have.

But first you have to do 710/838 @ 1.45V and see what temps you get, still beat me probably.

Mine are 53C atm at 100% :p

CR.

Edit: Have you remounted your cooler? Im so tempted to do it with AS5...

I see users with with the X2 claiming 60C load and know for a fact with mine load was 90C+ so the HIS cooler or even the the increased fan speed doesnt explain the difference.. Unless allot of users are just full of it. :o

It also does 700/850 stable with 95C load with X2, the second on is an X1900XT with VF900 @12v and does XTX speeds at 88C load.

could be bad fitting?

what other fans do you have in your case?

3 x Panaflo RB-12025H's ( I think thats what they are called :p )

I did have four of these in my Tsunami Dream case, One as an Intake.

One as an Exhaust, and two on my Scythe Ninja.

Hmm 62C @ 72%....

All the newer ATI top end coolers are poor designs, but with modified fan control You can generally keep the things at resonable temps.

The next thing i am gonna say will get People at it.. :D

I Think the ATI X1800/1900 std cooler was more efficient than the His Ice Q which is possibly better than the 1950XTX

On all of them the Exhaust is to small and miss-aligned and the fan design's are poor, that's just for starters

Either you are stupid or cannot see the facts. And im guessing your neither.

Thie IceQ cooler and the X1950XTX cooler are better, and have been shown to be better than he standard cooler.

Look at my examples.

His IceQ XTX @ 650/775 @ 1.4V = 60C load @ 50%
His IceQ XTX @ 709/838 @ 1.45V = 60C load @ 70%

Sapphire XT @ 650/775 @ 1.4V = 75C load @ 50%
Sapphire XT @ 650/775 @ 1.4V = 65C load @ 100%

So evidently its not more efficent

Well as You were not totally abusive ;) I will reply, As always I speak as I find My post was about cooling efficiencys/noise and In my System besides the Wine on Start up the Original ATI cooler kept the card cooler (40c region desktop) for given fan speed compared to the others. This is fact as i have increased my Front Case fan speeds to keep the HIS card at similar temps, and add special ducting to get the 1950 down to the HIS temps !

Now I won't argue that Maximum cooling capacity places those coolers in a different order, But for me and most people PC noise is more an issue while in the desktop, which is where the Std Ati cooler was most efficient. Sure the X1950xt is Silent as the Fan only runs @13% below 77c, but i dont like my GFX cards at 65c Idle

Forgot to say, Look at the Fan designs ! running the Ati STD fan at 100% is likely to just be causing Cavitation and lots of noise!! I would almost put money slowing it down from 100% would improve cooling.. ;)

Well here that doesn't happen.

Both cards have/had cool air straight onto them from the intake.

Increase in fan speeds = decrease in temps.

In desktop, normal control is between 10-20%, which keeps the IceQ at about 40C, the normal cooler at about 50C.

At 50% IceQ idle is 30C, the stock one is high 40s.

So I still don't quite know what your on about :/

The IceQ is better than the X1950XTX and thats better than the X1900...

:O 13% damn thats low, didnt know they dropped the fan speeds on the x1950's

Yes It's crazy low, I edited the Bios on My card for more sensible settings.

I appreciate ATI are happy to run the cards 80-90 c but I think thats too Hot !
It gets everything else in the case Hot
original settings
0c-13%
77c-25%
80c-38%
83c-56%
86c-69%
89c-75%
92c-88%
95c-100% Fan

Ok, Without getting to technical, do You know anything about Aeroplane Propellers ? If I told You a Single Blade is more efficient than multiple blades You would think I was winding You up.. ;) It's True Multiple blades are running in the turbulance of the preceeding blade thus reducing efficiency.
Every fan does not produce 2 times the blow every time you double the speed You can also run into a thing called Cavitation where the air/thrust drops right down as the Propeller/fan is literaly not cutting the air because it's trying to move the air molecules faster than they can go.
Original bios settings for a His 1900xt
0c-27% fan
70c-32% fan
etc
which is the same as the normal X1900xt cards, So My Friend Your Data is incorrect It also would not keep my HIS at 40c or anywhere close in the desktop.
Cases and cooling vary for us all , same as everyones perception of noise My comparisons were all from the same Case and setup, It would be meaningless if it were not

Any way You being the X1900 Man How does :-

11,252 3D2006 marks sound
172,491 Aquamark points

I have been setting up a X1950XTX crossfire System.. :D
