x1900xt Which one?

Got one of these arriving today, not to bothered about a bit of sound under load as I'll have my headset on while gaming, looking forward to putting it through its paces tbh

can you tell me what res your running and how loud would u rate in terms of percentage when you run games like fear or hl2 or oblivion?

please listen to this rate it based on that percentage.

thats the one, I game at 1920x1200 and I would say occasionaly I can hear it at the volume just before he says 50% to tell you the truth, I am too busy concentrating on the game to really notice the noise.

Yup listened to that myself, i only get the first change where it picks up after he says 25%, ive never ever heard the 2nd pick up, have to agree also when your gaming you won't hear it, i don't, unless i specifically listen for it, if i do that then i can pick out the slight humming, if its picking up to the 2nd pick up on there then it must be hitting 80+ temps or something, mine only goes to about 71-72 and as i said i only hear from the first pick up, not the 2nd as well.

I was wondering wether or not the HIS variant was worth the extra? Are the cards with the stock cooler that noisy? Is the HIS that much quieter? And what is the warranty on HIS cards these days, it used to be 2 years?

I'd have just ordered which ever x1900xt was the cheapest ! they pretty much all clock the same and unless you run your ATi reference fan at 100% 100% of the time you'll rarely hear it.
