hi guys looking into getting one of these to replace my old but amazing 7600gt

1) will i see much of a boost ( buying the 512mb version) currently running my 7600GT at 690/1880

2) can someone give me the actual length as i want to know if it will fit in my v300 without cutting it to pieces

3) never owned an ATI card, ive read that the drivers are poorer compared with nvidias, just want to know if there are any issues at all as ive also seen strainge shapes in versions of 3dmark only on ATIs

cheers

You'll see a good boost in perfermance. 1950 PRO > 7900GS

ATI's drivers are just fine.

If you want to sell the 7600GT, add me to MSN. :)

cheers maslac im just thinking about it at the moment my new rig is coming tommorow i will let you know, also forgot to ask, my mobo has an nvidia 6150 built in, can i use ati and nvidia drivers at the same time?

they are 9.5 inches long, you not considered the 320mb GTS though for not much more than the £135 price tag of that, has much better IQ, blows it clean away as its a helluva lot faster, and is not old tech like the x1950, or if you can wait a couple of weeks, then Nividias Dx10 8600 mid-range cards are coming out for around £100+, will be faster than the x1950pro (around 7900 GTX performance i think) to, April 17th for them supposedly. :)

Will the 8800gts fit in a v300? I am wanting to go SFF and was trying to figure out what would fit :)

damit, thats to long guess itll have to be a 7900gs, 8800s are a waste of money atm, no point buying a DX10 card until there are games that use it, even for DX9 its too much for what i want

Lian Li V300
Abit Fatal1ty F-I90HD
Corsair 520W
E6300
Geil 2Gb PC6400C4
7900GS
Zalman 7700-CU
seagate 7200.10
NEC AD7170S Serial ATA 18x18 DVD±RW

I have a macbook pro for general use, but wanted a games machine, not playing anything massive, Eve, source games, maybe supreme commander etc.

was thinking of getting a core 2 duo setup with that board but i chose an amd setup becuase it will use less power when downloading and the AM2 abit board is amazing for OCing apparently, i will post up a pic of the setup tommorow i just hope the 7900GT fits as a 7900GS is the same size.

would an 8800gts fit if I murdered the floppy bay with a dremel? and are Lian Li bringing out a second revision either with more clearance or a removable floppy drive?

yes they fit fine once the floppy drive has been removed, not an option for me, i cant recomend this case enough the build quality is amazing im glad i went for this over the sugo, im not sure that lian li are releasing a new revision i doubt they are tbh as its aimed at a HTPC market which are not likly to be using 8800s.

no problems :D cheers for all your info and help massive attack :) I will hopefully be getting one of these in the near future, I'll send lian li an email asking them about it :)
