If you look in the bottom right, you can see that the current memory clock is 594mhz and not 900mhz. I checked that the window was updated by alt-tabbing between them. This explains the problems I have been continuously experiencing with the card. I believe it has something to do with the ATI Hotkey Poller, which manages the clock speed changes from 2d to 3d and vice versa. It is running, and so is ATi Smart, according to MSconfig.

How do I get the Hotkey Poller options back up again, or even better, get the clock speeds right once more?

Because it's not running in full-screen mode.

You can always disable the switcher and OC it to 3D speeds/volts if you want to run windowed.

Since the Source engine is supremely CPU-limited, that would not surprise me.

Turn on the FlashOSD in ATI Tray Tools or run some sort of clockspeed graph while it's fullscreen so you can be sure, that way you'll know if it is working properly or if your clock switching is actually borked.

Would suck if it's borked. :(

Well I finally fixed it (somehow) - the clock speeds now show as 621mhz for the core and 900mhz for the memory. It really didnt give my ailing 3dmark03 score a boast though - from something like 15300 to 15800, despite noticeable increases in FPS (for example, the third test showed the girl's face in 15FPS before, now it's 65fps). Something is still wrong with this forsaken card.

I hear that...Im really dissapointed with this card...I seriously cant belive the drivers on the ***** disk dont even run with it. Now that is ***** rediclous.

Hey Knives m8, u got MSN I would like to chat to you about this card if possible.
