x1950xtx overclock help

hey ppl im thinking of overclocking my card x1950xtx its on air cool till i get a good water cooling kit, im kinda new at overclocking so i need a little help

i got a VF1000 on the card and im using ATiTraytool, can anyone tell me whats the max i can go with it on air cooled and the settings plz any help would be brilliant

You should be able to get the core to AT LEAST 675, and likely over 700Mhz. The memory is GDDR4 right?

You can prob run 690 stable on air. You may need to up the voltages (in ati tool (note:not ati tray tool)) very slightly though.

You honestly might be better selling your xtx though and buying a second hand x1900xt 512mb and overclocking it. The xtx will probably still fetch a premium price 2nd hand in some places. (might be even better just getting something like a 8800gt if you manage to get lucky and sell it for a pretty penny).

However, in DX9 the xtx is no slouch. Use the search function and search for my x1950xt results and settings
