X19x0 overclocks

My x1900xt-x is currently at
499.5 core, 594 memory maximum. If I open ATi tool 0.25 14 and tweak things the mouse stops moving and the screen goes off. Even setting it to stock speeds is risky. It used to do 729 core, 828 memory very well and could even do 750 core for short bursts.

Well, its my memory wall, infact I have a wall at everything now

716mhz on the core at 1.45V is all it will do, 1.475+V doesn't give me anything more, even 1.5V @ 720 = crash.

846 on memory at 2.45V (low level so timings are tight) or 2.115V (driver level - loosened timings) trying anything over that results as in that screenshot.

This XTX must be able to do more... :/

I think you're just going to have to settle for lower memory clocks :( Keep going & you are risking permanent damage to the card mate. Does look like memory artifacts to me though as i pointed out. I know how you feel,i've had cards in the past that would'nt clock at all,on a positive note, you are still getting over 700Mhz on the core,so it's not all bad

Make: Connect 3d
Model: X1900xt 256mb
Core Speed - Voltage: 650 - 1.450V
Mem Speed - Voltages: 800
Load temps: About 67

Opteron 146 @ 2.8 x10
2g Corsair value 2.5/3/3/7
Asrock dual sata 2.3 bios

Get about 10500 in 3dmark 2005 using ati tools+overdrive 3 with latest Omegas. I'm not sure if thats a fair score or not if I'm honest :)

Erm we've seen that and we've already said that those results cannot possibly be true...
Not even a new architecture usually yields 50% performance increase, so a "refresh" certainly wont. Its like going from r350 to r360 (r9700 die codes) or x800 to x850, never was 50% increase. You'd be lucky to get 10% increase.

X1950 XTX

Core Speed : 668 Voltage : Stock

Ram Speed : 1017 Voltage : Stock

How can I check load temps simply?

Is there any program similar to Fraps that displays the temp in game?
